Pinehaven Farms

Today we finally decided to take the kids down to Pinehaven Farms in Wyoming (near Forest Lake). We left just after 10 and got there around noon. We also met Steve's cousin Dan, his wife Erin, and their little daughter Braxton. It turned out to be a beautiful day and was in the 60s down there. Pretty great for being almost the end of October.

When we first arrived we checked out all the animals. There were goats, a few sheep, llamas, kittens, and more. The kids really didn't want to touch them until Jack was brave enough to feed the goats. He thought that was pretty cool and wanted to do it more and more. Olivia kept her distance.

Once we washed up from touching the animals we stopped for a treat - mini doughnuts. Then we were on to get in line for the tractor ride. We got into the big trailer and rode out to the pumpkin patch. There we were able to get off and pick out whichever one we wanted as well as take a few pictures. There weren't many pumpkins left since it's a bit later in the season, but it was still fun to pick out a huge one.

After being there about 2.5 hours we decided it was time to make the drive home. There was a lot more to do so next year we'll have to remember to leave a bit earlier in the morning.

Boo at the Zoo

We decided to go to Boo at the Zoo yesterday because the weather was so warm. We initially were going to wait until next Saturday because we had a wedding yesterday, but because it was in the 70s we figured we should take advantage of it. I didn't have Olivia's costume yet, that is coming in the mail, so we put her in her princess dress up clothes just for something to wear.

Once we parked the car, I had the kids stand for a picture together and realized yet again I forgot the memory card for my camera. Sooo, this picture is from my phone.

Then I thankfully realized my camera did have a small amount of internal memory...

Baby Shower

This past weekend I drove down to the cities with a car load of people for a baby shower for Steve cousin's wife - Jayme. It was great to see her and all the people bring gifts for the baby (we still don't know if it's a boy or girl (I voted boy)). She is due in a few weeks, and got a nice last minute pile of stuff for the baby.

The shower was hosted at Steve's other cousin's house, Dan and Erin. Olivia was able to play with their little girl, Braxton, who is almost the same age as her. They got along pretty well and shared great. They both had their dolls and were really intrigued by the other 3 month old baby at the shower.

Olivia also really enjoyed Braxton's little purse and play phone, while Braxton loved the little squeaky doll bottle.

Crazy on the Swing

Well Olivia has now discovered how to swing and pump on her own. It's seems a bit more crazy than Jack was at this age, but I guess she knows how to hang on and swing like crazy.

If you can see that little green 4-wheeler in the picture...she actually takes that, moves it over under the swing, and then jump up onto the seat. She's a pro at it and sometimes we find her  standing up on the swing. Yikes!
