Thanksgiving

We were very busy for Thanksgiving, as usual, trying to run around to make sure we saw everyone. We started out at noon at my aunt & uncle's house. There were over 20 of us there, so it was good to see that almost everyone could make it. We stayed until after 3 and visited while the kids played.

After leaving there we went up to Steve's parents to hang out and eat another round of turkey. We stayed there until about 7 and then got the kids home to bed. We fell asleep pretty early as well since I was getting up to go Black Friday shopping.

First Snow Day

Yesterday was our first time outside in snow pants. I actually felt really bad because I had forgotten Jack's snow pants and boots at school, so he had to wear his ones from last year. They were extremely short and his boots clearly too small, but they made due for the short time we were out there.

Star Spangled Banner *Updated Video*

This song is probably a favorite in our house. It originated with Jack's obsession at sporting events and he'd always ask me to sing it while he pretended he was a player waiting to be announced. Now Olivia has really taken a liking to it.

She doesn't get all the words right, but it's pretty funny (don't mind Jack talking right next to the camera)...

**I updated the video at the request of some. I know it was hard to hear the other one. This one she's a bit closer to the camera.**

Halloween

For Halloween, the kids started out with the usual parade at Think N Play to show off their costumes to all the parents. Steve was able to make it this year and it actually was pretty funny because while Jack was parading his costume - he was also yelling out random numbers. Not sure if he was doing math in his head or like another parent suggested - perhaps he was listing out the winning lottery numbers. It was strange, but hilarious.

Once we left there, we quickly went over to see my grandma, then out to my sister's work, then to Scott & Jayme's to see the baby in her Bee costume, then to both grandparents house - all before heading back home to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood. Then when it started to get dark, we went home to hand out our candy.

As you can see Jack was Spiderman and Olivia was an ice cream cone. Many people confused her for a cupcake or Strawberry Shortcake - but it was still cute.

Pumpkin Carving

We did the pumpkin carving pretty late this year - the day before Halloween. Steve and I had been gone most of the weekend in the cities for a basketball conference and our anniversary, so Sunday was all we had time for.

Like usual the kids helped for about 5 minutes and then Steve finished it off. This year we did a pretty simple one as Jack just wanted triangle eyes and a few teeth.

Also, again here is Jack's annual picture on the front step from age 6 months (missing 2 1/2) until 4 1/2.

And Olivia's...(with her I missed her first year at 4 months)

If you look closely at Olivia's pictures - she does this funny thing with her second toe on her left foot. Haha. I'm going to have check that out :)
