Floor Plan Finalized

So our floor plans have been finalized as of Friday. We really only had a few minor revisions from the original plan and for the most part the designer got everything we wanted.

So now we are waiting on a bid from the first builder and then we'll continue to get a few more bids. We should still be able to make adjustments as we go if we need to adjust the price, etc...

On another note - we have now officially put our house on the market. We've decided to just do 'For Sale by Owner' for now because we are in no rush and don't plan on building until at least next Spring at the very earliest. We've had 2 showings and a few texts or phone calls for more information, so we continue to wait patiently for this house to sell. Here is the link to it with some pictures.

Olivia's First Haircut

Yesterday, I took Olivia to get her first haircut. Her hair is so terrible if it's not in a clip or put up some how, but she never keeps stuff in all day. She's fine keeping it in when I'm with her, but not at school. Because her bangs had gotten so long she'd always come home with them in her face...so it was time for a trim.

This is her hair when the curls are all combed out. Probably not a good idea by the salon lady just before cutting it.

Olivia - Dentist

Olivia had her first trip to the dentist a few weeks ago and although we practiced before she went...she refused to open her mouth so the dentist could take a look. He got enough of a peek between her clenching her jaw shut, and at least he realized she had the right number of teeth and they were good until next time.

*please excuse the hair :)

1st Day of School

Thursday was Jack's first day of kindergarten at Churchill and Olivia's first day of preschool at Queen of Peace. I was able to drop both kids off since Jack had to be dropped off at 8:00 and Olivia by 8:15.

Jack did very well and went right into the classroom, signed in his name, and picked out his hot lunch choice.

Olivia also did well, but I think she was unsure I was leaving her for the entire day. I convinced her to play with the babies and dress up purses and then quickly walked out.

I left work early to pick them both up on their first day as well.

Labor Day

On Monday, we walked in the Labor Day parade in Cloquet for MCCU. We had a float and about 15 people walking/riding and handing out candy.

Later in the day we went for a picnic at my aunt's house so we could visit with family that was here from Colorado and Arizona.
