Earlier this week Steve was home with the kids due to a snow day. In the afternoon he put Olivia down for her usual nap and shortly after Steve could hear her screaming. Not really crying, but screaming. He mentioned it seemed closer than usual, but didn't think much of it. After a bit he went up to check on her and found her playing with blocks in Jack's room.
In Jack's room = climbed out of the crib.
Goodness gracious, we have no clue how she did it without falling (Steve said he never heard a loud noise). He put her back in the crib and immediately she flung her leg over the railing. This is when we new it was time for a 'big girl' bed. That evening we ran over to Steve's parents and got one of their extra twin beds and set it up in her room. We just used some of Jack's sheets for now, until we have time to get her a little bedroom set. She went to bed very easily on her own and never tried to get out in the middle of the night. She also slept over an hour later than her usual time and we had to go in and wake her up.
Unfortunately because it was so last minute we had to use Jack's railing from his bed, so Olivia felt a little more secure. A few hours after Jack went to bed, I heard a big thud on the floor and went up to find this...
He never even woke up or seemed to care. Now the second night he didn't role out at all, so maybe he figured out how to adjust to sleeping without it.
