Camping - Hayward

This past Friday we headed down to Hayward for some camping at the KOA. Jack had gone down the night before with my parents, so we met them after work on Friday. We didn't get there until after supper and immediately Jack wanted Steve to play mini golf with him. I think it was more entertaining to watch Olivia just walk around and throw her ball.

Jack was also very anxious to show us the large jumping pillow. Olivia of course was too small to go on, but liked trying at least.

That night the kids absolutely did not want to go to bed. Jack finally fell asleep, but Olivia decided there was no such thing as sleep. It was difficult in a confined space and a quiet campground not to give in to her every request. Steve even spent about 15 minutes walking outside with her just to keep her quiet. Not my idea of fun.

Saturday the weather wasn't so nice, so we took a lot of walks, played on the playground, and found a little bit of time to swim in the heater pool. When I say heated - I mean - Steve and I froze our butts off.

That evening after supper and a short campfire we decided to pack up and drive home. We hoped the kids would sleep in the car then and we could avoid another sleepless night by Olivia.

That is our favorite place to camp...and when I say camp I mean rent one of their lodges! Haha! We are going in the middle of July and sure hope it warms up by then! Looks like you guys made the most of it. Hope you got to pig out on fudge ;)

The pictures make it look like you had more fun than your verbal recap would suggest. :)
