On Sunday we decided to take the kids on the Northshore Scenic Railroad's Pumpkin Train. We boarded the train at the Depot in Duluth and the kids were pretty excited. We each had our own single seat on the upper level of the train. We initially thought the train traveled all the way to Two Harbors, and for $68 it certainly should have, but we quickly found out it did not. It went to a secret "pumpkin patch", which actually was a small field in someone's backyard in the Lakeside neighborhood of Duluth.
We all got off and raced to pick out a good pumpkin because the train was completely full. Each paid ticket was able to pick one out, so after taking some pictures we grabbed 4 and hopped back on the train.
The whole ride back, Steve and I tried to figure out the best way to get these 4 huge pumpkins back to the car. I really wish we would have gotten a pic because we each carried 2, up a huge hill, and about 2 blocks and our arms were numb.
