It's a Girl

Well, you guys voted and and it seems that we had a tie. 10 people voting that the baby would be a boy and 10 people voting that it would be a girl. Now we know - for those of you who voted girl - You were right!

It was confirmed yesterday for the second time that we will be having a girl come this July. Needless to say, Steve and I are very excited for the chance to have 1 child of each gender. At this point we do not have a name picked out, but have been tossing around a few ideas. I think we will also pick a boys name (just in case).

Interestingly enough, yesterday was supposed to be my 20 week ultrasound, but at about 4am I woke up with this terrible pain on my right side. Steve and I decided to head to the emergency room because the pain was getting worse by the minute. When I got there, they sent my up to Birthplace because I am so close to the 20 week mark where they like to start monitoring the baby for any problems. After a couple of hours of testing and an ultrasound, we found out that I had kidney stones. They were right there, clear as day, on the ultrasound and I was going to have to pass it though my kidney. After about 14 hours in the hospital of being hooked up to an IV and taking some strong pain meds, I seemed to had made it through the worst part and they sent me home. During the ultrasound I had the lady sneek a quick peak at the baby and she said that for sure it was a girl. So I guess that was something exciting to get me throough it all.

Now tomorrow will really be my 20 week ultrasound, so I will post a few pictures and any new results that we hear.
