The remodeling has begun

Our remodeling projects have been in full swing over the psast few weeks. First we started with getting a new gas insert installed in our living where the old existing wood fireplace used to be. With all the cold weather we've been having - it has come in very handy already.

Next was getting new carpet in all of the upstairs and in our living room. Since these are the main places we spend our time, it was a real inconvenience having to move all the furniture around in order to make room for it. We used to have area rugs in each room of our house and didn't realize really how damaged the old hardwood floors were. Below I posted a before and after picture of the floor in Jack's room. It is so nice now to have carpeting in all these areas so it's more comfortable to play with Jack on the floor.



In about a month we will start having the kitchen completely redone, so we're looking forward to that challenge.
