Annual Crosslake Vacation

Maybe saying 'Vacation' is a bit of a stretch since Steve and I felt more like we were just chasing the kids around rather than relaxing, but I guess that was to be expected.

Last year we didn't make it to Crosslake because I had Olivia the week that everyone went there, but other than that my family has gone almost every year since I was a baby. It's a great place to camp and will be much more enjoyable when the kids are a bit older.

This year we went from Thursday - Monday and let me tell you every minute we were there was a trying adventure. Jack wasn't feeling well, Olivia had all 4 top teeth coming through the gums, and to top it off - both beaches had swimmer's itch in full force. This made for one almost unbearable 85 degree and humid day.

We spent a lot of time going for walks and just hanging out in the campsite.

Hopefully next year will be a little bit easier and maybe we'll be able to get some beach time in.

It seems like most of the pictures I took of Jack include my cousin's little son - Jayce. They are exactly 1 year apart and we suspect will become little buddies hangin' out at Crosslake and other family gatherings.
