Tip Off Classic

This weekend was spent in Marshall, MN at the annual boys Tip Off Classic. This is the first year that Cloquet has played in this basketball tournement, so I decided to ride the bus down with the team, stay overnight, and watch all the games.

We left early Friday morning, so we could stop and eat on the way in St. Cloud and still make it in time for the evening games. After we watched a few games we went back to the hotel and ordered pizza for the whole team. On Saturday, we headed over to the gym to get ready for the Cloquet game and watch Duluth East play. In the afternoon we played Blaine and unfortunately lost by 16.

Because there was supposed to be a snow storm coming we left immediately after our game, so we could get on the road for the 5 hour drive back. After stopping in St. Cloud again to eat, we arrived home about 9:30pm.



Although their backs were to me in the picture, there are now 3 Battaglia's coaching for Cloquet, as Steve's cousin Scott joined the staff this year.
