Memorial Weekend

For most of the weekend we headed up to Grand Marais to go camping for the first time this summer. We left Friday evening and arrived at the campground after a long drive with some fussy travelers. We set up the camper and got everything in order before sitting by the fire for a short time. Both kids slept pretty good for their first night, but we were all up by 5:15.

Saturday morning we went for a walk before breakfast and then hung out at the campsite before Olivia went down for a nap. Once she was sleeping we took Jack to the little shops in town, to throw some rocks in the water, and to walk out on the pier to the lighthouse. It was pretty cold that evening, so we only sat by the fire for a bit before sitting in the campers and then going to bed.

Sunday after breakfast we packed up all of our stuff and made the long drive home. Luckily Olivia slept most of the way and Jack was pretty content watching his movies.
