Christmas Eve, as usual, was a very long day for us. Steve started with a scrimmage for basketball at 10am, while I was home getting the kids all ready. Once he was home we rushed up to Two Harbors for the extended Battaglia family Christmas. Almost everyone from the family was able to make it this year, which was nice, and we all gathered at Superior Shores. We ate right when we arrived and then Jack, Olivia, and Braxton opened presents.
After, we did the adult gift exchange and hung out at the hotel while the kids ran around in the lobby area until about 5pm.
We drove home to open presents just the 4 of us, but Olivia was pretty crabby because she fell asleep in the car. It took her a while to wake up, so the kids only opened a few of their presents. Jack was pretty excited about his new Gopher football helmet and jersey and Olivia really didn't care for anything.
Once my mom's side of the family was done with church we went up to my Grandpa Burman's house around 8pm. The kids were actually really good there considering how late it was getting and without naps. We again opened more presents there, ate food, and played the dice game for the adult gifts. Around 9:30 we headed home so Santa could come.
