We had thought about the benefits of going artificial this year and had images of a predecorated tree ready and waiting in our basement each year, but decided to go real again. And for us this means actually going to a tree farm and cutting it down, not just buying one from the store. I'm really really considering buying a fake one during Christmas clearance sales and making everything much easier.
The weekend of Thanksgiving we headed out to the same place to cut down our tree. Right when we pulled up, we noticed the tree we wanted within seconds and spent no time looking around. Even though there was no snow this year, it was very windy and cold that day. Booo!
